Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, she is half-Spanish and the other half is English. His father is an Argentine and has Scottish and English heritage. Her mother is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy has the eldest of five children, four are the result of a previous marriage to Taylor's father. They lived at Buenos Aires until she was six years old, and then moved to the Victoria region in London. Taylor-Joy claims that the move to London was traumatizing and that she didn't learn English to stay out of the risk of returning to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she was required to attend when she switched from Northlands. Then, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School to study ballet as well as perform in the school's plays. At the age of 16, she left school to follow a full-time career path in acting. As a child, Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to pursue a career as an actress. her dreams came true when she was approached for modeling work by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
