Sheryl Underwood is she is an American television personality and comedian, is most well-known as presenter for The Talk, a popular talk show that airs on daytime TV. Sheryl was born in Arkansas and raised In Little Rock, Atwater and Atwater. Sheryl is from a troubled family. She spent most of her growing up taking care of her sister Frankie who was afflicted by the disease of polio. When she was a child, she had an uneasy relationship with her mom. Sheryl asserts that in the past, her mother would stab her father over the head because she was getting too close to her. Sheryl became a military officer after graduating from college. Her interest was in comedy. She was the first woman to be a finalist in the competition Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. In 1992, she made her TV debut as a regular on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. The show was hosted by her Oh Drama! in 2000. She's been host on The Talk since 2011. The actress has appeared on fictional show such as Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
