Kelly Clarkson was an American singer/songwriter that became the sweetheart of America after she won American Idol in the first season. Not only was the winning that ushered Kelly Clarkson's name to the forefront and fortune, but it also secured her an arrangement in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings & 'S Records for a number of albums. Since then, she's released many studio albums. Three albums have topped the US Billboard 200 charts while the others were only a hair away. She is one of the biggest artists that have sprung from the American Idol series. She was a bit flimsy as she found recognition for her diverse musical and theme style, and often wrote her own songs. For her uniqueness and vocal prowess, she received high praise and various awards. Her most notable achievement was that she received 3 Grammy awards. The music industry isn't the only thing she is involved in. She has also appeared in TV and movies. She is also the author of the novel for children called River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as a member of numerous charitable organisations.
